The team at Toy Storage Nation regrettably informed all attendees, vendors and presenters that the Executive RV & Boat Storage Workshop, originally scheduled for Friday, September 27, has been postponed due to threats of a pending hurricane. The workshop is now on the calendar for November 1, 2024, at the same venue, Naples Grand Beach Resort.
The storm began developing early Monday morning and was quickly drawing the attention of meteorologists, who predicted it would rapidly evolve into tropical storm status. By Tuesday morning, weather experts believed the storm would hit the Florida coast as a Category 3 hurricane, dubbed Helene. The forecast also indicated that the ensuing rains and tidal schedule could bring a surge of 3 to 5 feet of water to the Gulf Coast of Naples, even though Helene’s flight path indicated it would primarily center on the Florida Panhandle.
“The last thing we want to do is inconvenience our attendees, but after communicating with the Naples Grand hotel staff and reviewing the forecast, we determined that postponing the event was in the best interest of everyone traveling to the workshop,” said Toy Storage Nation President Amy Bix.
“We are working with our attendees individually to ensure they can attend the November 1st date or a subsequent workshop”.
“Our priority at this time is to consider the safety of everyone attending. We understand this is a huge inconvenience, but we’d prefer to err on the side of caution.”
Bix also added that Toy Storage Nation will continue conducting Executive RV & Boat Workshops four times throughout the year in locations coast to coast. More information about upcoming events is forthcoming and will be posted on the Toy Storage Nation website, as well as on social platforms Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.
