Toy Storage Nation thanks all attendees, speakers and sponsors for supporting the success of the Dallas RV & Boat Storage Workshop, Sept. 26, which encouraged developers to move 
forward with projects in a much underserved market.
“It’s a mom- and pop-driven industry, and there is a lot of room for new entrants to play, for the time being,” said Devin Beasley of Cushman & Wakefield and newest TSN President. “When you look at the number of RVs and boats being shipped and the number of storage spaces being developed, we are far underserved.”
“This is the first time that I’ve come to Toy Storage Nation Workshop, and I’ve learned so much about RV and boat storage,” said Deborah Carter of Access Storage, which operates several traditional self-storage projects in the Dallas area. “The presenters were perfect and covered all areas–from doors to buildings to security and financing.
“For a person like me with little knowledge about RV and boat storage, it has really motivated me to get into the business,” she added.
Also sharing thoughts were vendor sponsors, including Barry Sherman of S3 Partners. “The collection of who’s who in the industry has been here today,” he said. “We’ve had a great gathering of interested parties here who want to develop boat and RV storage.
“If you’re thinking about this industry, [the workshop] is the single most important event to find all the sources and the expertise in each aspect of it–from feasibility to banking to construction to design,” he added. “This is the place you want to be.”
