This past weekend, Go RVing kicked off the first of five tailgating stops for the Ultimate RV Tailgate fall campaign at the Wisconsin Badgers vs. Michigan Wolverine game on Saturday.
Nationwide campaigns such as this aim to increase RV travel and, in doing so, encourage the general public to purchase RVs, ultimately impacting growth of the RV storage market. The campaign is shared by Toy Storage Nation to also prompt existing RV storage operators to pass the information onto clientele for purposes of expanding the spirit of RV travel.Â
Originally planned for four games, but recently expanded to five, the Go RVing campaign will have experiential marketing pop-ups at college football games across the country to inspire and incentivize U.S. travelers and tailgaters to bring the comforts of home from the road straight to the sidelines. Games include:
- 10/17 — Texas Longhorns vs. Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington, KY
- 11/1 – Georgia Bulldogs vs. Florida Gators in Jacksonville, FL
- 11/15 – Florida Gators vs. Ole Miss Rebels in Oxford, MS
- 12/6 – College’s biggest championship game in Indianapolis
Amplifying the message
In conjunction with the games, Go RVing is partnering with sports and travel influencers to travel to the games in an RV and share the experience with their followers.
Richie and Bre from Milwaukee Uncut traveled from Wisconsin to Michigan for the first game, sharing their RV adventure along the way with their followers. While Richie was initially skeptical, there was no doubt this trip would be a success: Watch as Bre shares the news of their RV adventure
One lucky winner
Additionally, the Ultimate RV Tailgate experience gives one lucky fan the chance to design their dream game day – from choosing tickets to their favorite matchup to funds to help them craft the perfect RV tailgate setup – including a complimentary RV rental.
People can enter to win online and in-person at the pop-up events all season long and Go RVing will continue to reach these entrants with messaging about the benefits of the RV lifestyle turning them from RV-curious to RV-serious!
