Year-End RV Shipments Total 342,000, Indicate Need for More RV Storage Development

Results for the RV Industry Association’s December 2025 survey of manufacturers found that total RV shipments ended the month with 23,220 units, a 0.3% growth rate compared to the 23,153 units shipped in December 2024. Toy Storage Nation tracks shipment reports to determine feasibility of RV storage development, which has lagged dramatically behind compared to the numbers of RVs entering the country for purchase. The same is true for the number of boats entering the market, which totaled approximately 225,000 over 2025, representing an 8% increase from the previous year.

“2025 year-end shipments finished up slightly and in line with the forecasts shared by ITR Economics throughout the year,” said RV Industry Association President & CEO Craig Kirby. “As we move into 2026, we are optimistic that this modest upward trend will continue, fueled by improving economic conditions and an incredible lineup of travel milestones perfect for RVing. Between the nationwide celebrations for America’s 250th birthday, the global excitement of the FIFA World Cup, and the 100th anniversary of Route 66, there has never been a more iconic year for travelers to experience the freedom of the open road.”
