$80-Million Marina Redevelopment Underway in Florida

A year after the PGA Marina was demolished, PORT 32 opened pre-leasing for its $80-million, next-generation Palm Beach Gardens facility. Palm Beach Gardens is 7 miles north of West Palm Beach and 80 miles north of Miami, Fla.

PORT 32 Marinas LLC has opened pre-leasing for PORT 32 Palm Beach Gardens, the new marina rising on the former PGA Marina site, which was demolished in March 2025 to make way for an $80 million ground-up redevelopment that includes taller buildings, expanded storage capacity, and modernized marine infrastructure.

The original PGA Marina, a 50-year waterfront landmark on PGA Boulevard and the Intracoastal Waterway, was cleared to accommodate a larger, more advanced complex designed to serve the needs of today’s bigger vessels and growing boating demand. Construction crews have since completed demolition of the metal barn previously on the site and begun foundation, utility, and seawall work, with steel structure installation scheduled to follow.

The redevelopment, approved after a year-long city review, will feature three blue-and-white buildings, including two 83-foot-tall dry storage structures—37 feet taller than the former facility—to accommodate larger boats and multilevel storage. A third 5,000-squarefoot building will house a ship’s store with fueling stations that allow vessels to dock directly at the building, according to the news release.

Some nearby residents expressed concerns that the height of the new buildings could obstruct Intracoastal views, while others praised the project for replacing aging infrastructure long marked by rusted metal and potholes.

Set to debut in December 2026, PORT 32 Palm Beach Gardens will offer 471 total slips, including 451 fully enclosed dry storage slips and 20 wet slips. Situated between the Jupiter and Palm Beach Inlets, the marina provides immediate access to the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean.

PORT 32 Palm Beach Gardens incorporates significant technological and operational upgrades, including the largest marina forklifts in the United States with 75,000-pound lifting capacity, enhanced visibility cabs, and high-speed diesel and REC90 fueling. The facility is engineered to withstand Category 5 hurricane winds up to 180 mph, matching the company’s stated goal of creating resilient, long-term marine infrastructure.

The redevelopment also includes new road access to improve traffic flow, replacing the previous route that led restaurant patrons past the industrial work yard, according to the news release.
