Yankee Marine Group is preparing to construct a $3-million indoor and outdoor boat storage center off Route 9N in Lake George, a popular summer-resort spot in upstate New York.
Co-owner Andrew Brodie says the move would free up space to allow his marina, retail center and repair business to grow, creating more year-round jobs.
Developers of the marina have applied for a Class A Marina permit for the construction and operation of a new Class A Marina offering indoor storage for 225 vessels and outdoor storage for 109 vessels. Indoor storage is proposed within three buildings with indoor rack storage.
Yankee Marina is one of Lake George’s premier boat rental marinas. The marina is dedicated to making renting a boat easy, fun and memorable. Yankee has the newest fleet of speed boats, pontoon boats, deck boats and fishing boats available hourly, daily or weekly, as well as tubes, water skis and wakeboards.
Yankee Marina also offers gas, a ship’s store, complete service, dock space rentals and winter storage.
