Mini-Storage Messenger (MSM) has called out The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on a recent article reporting that self-storage is suffering devastating repercussions following COVID-19. The article states that “in 2021, self-storage was the darling of the Wall Street Journal, with the new declaring the industry ‘The Pandemic’s Hot Property.’”
Further, the MSM article states, WSJ “reported that self-storage rents and occupancy had fallen to record lows as the “Pandemic Boom Cools.”
The MSM story continues to debate the WSJ’s article agenda by reasoning that although there is a slow down in storage rentals, “The media has largely ignored key nuances in their reporting, raising … the ire of many in the industry.”
