The location couldn’t be more ideal: Pirates Cove Marina & Boat Club, on the Gulf of Mexico, minutes from Caladesi and Honeymoon islands in Tampa Bay, Fla. Nor could membership, which offers access to everything anyone could need to languish in a high-falutin boating lifestyle: a marina, indoor and outdoor boat storage, skilled cleaning and repair services, 140 high and dry boat slips, fuel dock, as well as new and fully inspected-and-tested pre-owned boats for sale, for those that want to take it to the next level. Craving a Cuban with an ice-cold beer? There’s even a cafe on site.
Says marina and club owner Bobby Smith, “Fun Boat Club has the lowest member-per-boat ratio (10 to 1) in the industry.” He explains that members can rest assured the boats are always new, and their boat will be professionally cleaned, gassed up and ready for a day of family fun and making memories in the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico. And that’s the whole point of being a member of a boat club: You get all of the fun of owning a new boat in this oceanfront paradise, but none of the hassles. That’s why Smith thinks membership beats ownership.
However, if ownership is the goal, they’ve got everything covered there as well. Fun Boat Club has new and fully inspected-and-tested pre-owned boats for sale (with great prices on 2022 models),. Plus, they’re Tampa Bay Area’s only on-the-water Suzuki dealer and service center, along with being an authorized dealer of Hurricane Boats and Godfrey Pontoons. And, of course, once someone takes the leap into owners, all services–from boat storage, upkeep and repair, along with that tall ice-cold beer.
