Driftwood RV Center, family owned and operated since 1972, is expanding by offering a bevy of storage units for vehicles, personal items and even large RVs, in the coastal town of Cape May, N.J. Lauren Cowan, who works at Driftwood, said that they are excited to expand their services for RV owners and those who just need a place to store their stuff.
The new storage facility has 70 premium garages across four buildings. “All of these come in a variety of sizes,” she said. The entire facility is guarded 24/7 by video cameras and several locked gates. Some customers are already using these units to store their classic vehicles, like one person’s classic red Mercedes coup.
Other customers store their boats here in the off-season, and some of the units are large enough to fit small to medium-sized RVs. Indoor storage units vary in size from 12 x 30 feet all the way up to 14 x 45 feet. Driftwood also offers outdoor RV storage – they rent outdoor spaces that vary in length from 20 to 50 feet.“We can take a customer’s RV off their campsite, winterize it for them, and store it during the off-season,” Lauren said. And if something goes wrong, Driftwood employs mobile technicians who specialize in RV maintenance.
Driftwood is excited to offer these new services alongside their campground and resort, where guests can rent spaces by the day, week, or month. These full-sized RV sites include water and sewage hookups, electricity, and wide paved sites to accommodate those with larger RV setups. The campground is open nine months out of the year.
Driftwood is also Cape May County’s largest RV sales destination. They offer over 100 RVs for sale, including travel trailers and fifth wheels by Rockwood, East To West, and Sabre. They sell destination trailers by Innsbruck & Hampton and park models by Canterbury, Quailridge, and Summit. Driftwood is the number one Canterbury dealer in the country.
