Hilton has recently introduced the “glamping” concept to its host of hotel offerings, featuring “inspired outdoor hospitality experiences in iconic destinations.”
According to a promotional piece: “Hilton guests will soon be able to enjoy stays nestled alongside national parks and some of the most beautiful nature escapes across America. Add custom Airstreams, spacious cabins, and luxury tents to your travel bucket list.”
The promotion comes at a time when the RV market is currently valued at more than $48 billion and is expected to increase to an $80 billion industry by 2035–factoring in a 4% compound annual growth rate. The advertorial does not indicate whether or not the RVs will be mobile or fixed, such that vacationers will drive the RV and park it in a specified camping location, or will need to transport themselves by their own means and then camp in a Hilton-owned camper.
The iconic hotel chain states it is the “newest way to experience the stay.”
The promotional piece continues: “In the months ahead, all Hilton guests will be able to experience stays that blend the spirit of the iconic outdoor adventure with the hospitality and design-forward thinking of a boutique hotel. Plus, Hilton Honors members will be able to earn and use Points on stays and enjoy exclusive, members-only benefits.
“From design-forward Airstreams to locally sourced food and guided experiences, an AutoCamp stay offers the best of beautiful nature escapes and curated, modern amenities. Connect with your surroundings in iconic destinations including Russian River, Yosemite, Cape Cod, Catskills, Joshua Tree, Zion, Asheville (Spring 2024), Sequoia (Summer 2024), Texas Hill Country (Early 2025), and more to come.”
