North Dakota Establishes Office of Outdoor Recreation

The Outdoor Recreation Roundtable applauds the announcement of North Dakota’s new Office of Outdoor Recreation, created last week through executive order by Governor Doug Burgum at an event at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. This announcement marks the 22nd State Office of Outdoor Recreation across the United States.

Outdoor recreation leaders from Massachusetts and Pennsylvania have committed to advance the principles contained in the Outdoor Recreation Industry Confluence Accords.

This commitment took place at a signing by the respective state governors on May 7, 2024, at the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable’s National Outdoor Recreation Executive Forum.

With the addition of Massachusetts, authorized by Governor Maura Healey, and Pennsylvania, authorized by Governor Josh Shapiro, the total number of states in the Confluence reaches a historic 18.

The Confluence Accords embody 12 principles contained in the four pillars of conservation and stewardship, education and workforce training, economic development, and public health and wellness.

Toy Storage Nation applauds all efforts to enhance outdoor recreation opportunities, leading to more Americans exploring the great outdoors through camping, boating, sightseeing, vacationing, etc. The growing interest in outdoor recreation continues to fuel sales of RVs, boats and smaller motorized toys, expanding the need for RV storage development.
