The Outdoor Recreation Roundtable applauds the announcement of North Dakota’s new Office of Outdoor Recreation, created last week through executive order by Governor Doug Burgum at an event at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. This announcement marks the 22nd State Office of Outdoor Recreation across the United States.

With the addition of Massachusetts, authorized by Governor Maura Healey, and Pennsylvania, authorized by Governor Josh Shapiro, the total number of states in the Confluence reaches a historic 18.
The Confluence Accords embody 12 principles contained in the four pillars of conservation and stewardship, education and workforce training, economic development, and public health and wellness.
