Safe Harbor Catskills, with the help of the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce (SCCC), held its official ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event was part of a larger “Salute to Service” Live Music Festival.
Attendees to the free festival event were able to take in live musical performances, indulge in delicious food options from local vendors, and see a plentiful amount of shopping opportunities from local vendors.
Safe Harbor is a premier storage facility situated on the outskirts of Parksville, N.Y., with an Old Hickory Shed Dealer location as well. Their facility seeks to offer convenience to both locals and neighboring areas.
Owners Jeffrey Wood, Chris Lague and Dave Jones are lifelong friends who shared a common dream of owning their own storage facility business. After much hard work and determination, they stumbled upon the perfect opportunity in Parksville.
“When we found out that the previous owners were looking to retire, we knew this was meant to be,” Chris recalled, “Everything, including the timing, was perfect.”
Jaime Schmeiser of the SCCC stated their appreciation for welcoming new family members [new owners and new businesses] to the Sullivan County area.
“With this event alone, they supported military, first responders, teachers, other small businesses and charities such as Rocky’s Rescue, which adds to Sullivan County’s welcoming and inclusive community,” said Schmeiser.
The owners wanted to thank Grese Productions Shawn and Amanda Wallgren, previous owners Jen and Glen Merclan, all of the small business vendors that came out and supported them, the Sullivan County Chamber for their support, and “ribbon cutting expertise” Rocky’s Refuge.
They also thanked all military, teachers, and first responders for a successful and warm grand opening.
As a token of their appreciation for those who serve our country and community, they are also offering a lifetime discount of 5% to all military personnel, teachers and first responders.
